Juan Mendez is a large and muscular man, with dark skin and brown eyes. He keeps his head shaved bald, and he normally wears basic clothes of a peasant with an apron for baking. His large muscles and deaf hands do not betray the general sterotype of meatheads: he is rather unknowledgeable and only knows how to bake and fight. Though he once held many friends, the trauma of losing his family has caused his personality to deteriorate into a most basic form, enough to communicate with others on a basic level, enough to tell people he's really not trying to kill them.
When he assumes his alternate identity (or perhaps true identity), he becomes El Tronar, the wrestler. His crimson and silver mask and leather suit painted in the form of a silver lightning bolt set to a red background marks the coming of this infamous man.
His truest conviction is to the protection of others from the corruption of cruel people, such that they do not suffer the same consequnces as himself.
The Story of El Tronar:
Juan Mendez was once an unassuming baker in Rook, working days as a menial laborer for his uncle Marco's bakery. This life was simple, and Juan enjoyed it well enough. When hard times began for his uncle, he turned to underground loan sharks for money to keep his business afloat. Marco's decision placed a heavy burden on his family, as his poor reading skills put him in massive debt to an underground crime lord. To earn money to alleviate the debt, Juan did the one thing he thought he could do: wrestle. He worked hard to become a strong and cunning wrestler, slowly becoming well known in several underground fighting rings in Rook. Juan was able to pay off his family's debt by doing the one thing that would destroy his family. Juan's opponent had several thousand gold on him to win from none other than the man who held the Mendez family business hostage. Though winning the fight allowed Juan to pay off the debt, his final career victory was cut short by a group of thugs invading his home and murdering his family in front of him.
It has been 6 years since this incident, and Juan has found his true calling: fighting for honor and glory, and to protect those around him. These are the origins of the mask. The origins... of El Tronar.
In his pursuit of greater power in fighting, he learned of basic alchemy and how to craft mutagen.
