The Southern Trade Homestead of Rook, had put out a notice looking for adventurers to help clear out a small infestation of plants that had seemed to come alive. Little did they know the lake near by was feeding the plants some toxics of sorts.

Mr. Jameson, placed a job posting in The Golden Plow for any and all adventurers to go and undertake this somewhat meaningless task and to figure out what the cause of this was and figure it out.

The adventurers without haste made their way to the market to pick up some last minute supplies and mounts before heading off to where the directions had listed their problems on the road. Once they got to the noted location the adventures were quickly surprised and equally quickly dealt with what appeared to be animated plants. After dispatching them Roald had begun collecting samples of their bodies to analyze what was going on with, noticing that sometime was affecting their soil and water consumption, the group made their way through the forest to nearest water source that would affect the plants and discovered along their trails that the forest had many more plants that seemed to be mutated, as they didn't want to risk any further, or greater injury, the adventurers took their time making their way through the woods until they got to the lake.

Once at the lake they quickly discovered that it was plagued with something, of which an alchemical waste it had been used from what they gathered. Again they came across more slumbering plants they did not rouse or attack but they did make off with a sample of the water to study, and potentially come up with a counteracting agent.
