Miere Spent 200 on 4 potions of Cure Light Wounds
After being approached by a mysterious man Deverdon and Sabian accepted his offer of doing some clandestine work for the guard. Deciding they could use some help they tracked down Meire, Finn, and Lorek and asked them for assistance.
As a group the next day they had a meeting with the guardsman who was to hire them, who turned out to be the twin brother, named Lawrence, of the young man a couple members of the group had saved a little while ago. The party was a little confused at the revelation they were starting with the middleman who had initially hired them, and were a little put off by the brothers initially vicious attitude, and not the smugglers directly, but after a bit of discussion he seemed appeased at the knowledge that to capture the smugglers they first needed to get information from the middleman to find out who is in charge. Also they talked Lawrence into providing them with writing papers protecting them from any legal trouble from the guard.
Arriving at the country manor the Middleman worked out of the party discussed several options for how to handle entry before simply deciding on the We Are Mighty Adventurers policy and walked up to the door. After Sabian noticed a lookout snoozing in a tree he startled him awake causing him to fall from the tree and knock himself unconscious. As one of his elven allies ran out to check him all attempts at diplomacy or subterfuge were put to a stop when Capitalist made the elf begin screaming bloody murder gathering the attention of everyone present.
The party quickly took command of the battle with a well applied grease spell removing almost every enemy from the battle. The exception to that was the Mighty battle worn halfling enforcer Tiny Tim who brutally walloped Finn to within an inch of his life before capitalist arrived and put a stop to Tiny Tim's illustrious career.
From there the party easily ransacked the manor house and found the Middleman, an actual midget instead of a halfling, who initially played coy and denied direct knowledge of what the party wanted but once the party threatened the life of the helpless Tiny Tim, who he seemed particularly concerned about, he quickly agree to tell them everything and give them more accurate information at a later date with Tiny Tim as a long term hostage.
