The aforementioned adventurers were all subcontracted to secure and clear out a few portals that opened up around the outskirts of Rook. The first portal revealed Rainen in the middle of an ice field, who after being made aware of what was going on left the area to find out some information. The next few portals were closed uneventfully, but on the fourth portal two children were found playing on the other side. After entering and convincing the two children to leave, a few miniature tarrasques appeared and began fighting the group. Oddly enough, the tarrasques seemed to mimic the abilities of the party, though they were rather swiftly dispatched. Once leaving, a very strange person that could only be labled as as an epic level bard appeared and closed the portal in a clown-like manner. The group then secured the final portal, which was again closed by the epic level bard.
