Player Loot:
Naya Sharpe: 13750gp
Primrose: 13750gp
Ben Weese: 6875gp
Rainen: 13750gp
Lorek Ra'dari: 13750gp
Receiving information on the lair of the Worm that Walks, the group assembled and with Lorek's aid projected in to the astral realm. As they arrived they realised that the realm was effectively timeless and buffed up immensely, no doubt saving themselves some future problems. After not much searching at all they found an expanse of floating rocks and a small manor castle upon one of them. Ignoring the doors, Lorek blasted a hole in the wall and then disintegrated several walls of force to permit entry. As they entered the found an exquisite library - these are all the rage - and spied a jewel encrusted skull up on a shelf. Deciding to leave it alone, they went exploring and found (then immolated) some leukodaemons slacking off in a room. As they progressed they eventually found a metallic woman covered in chains who paused for only the briefest of moments to ask them a question before lunging forward and attacking.
Never the less the group were able to put her down and continued on their exploration. Naya warned the others that the pillars were trapped. Even so, Rainen decided to walk near one anyway, probably due to forgetfulness, and an antimagic sphere sprung in to life and banished his astral form. Feeling a bit put out, Rainen visited Miere to get a plane shift, bumping in to Ben there who had other tasks he wanted help with. Fine with coming along to help in the mean time, Ben joined Rainen as the pair were sent back to the Astral plane to rejoin with the others, who largely waited patiently. Once they had all rejoined, the group emerged in to a new area via a convenient door, they found a realm within a realm, this time with a dark and brooding castle atop a spire. The worm that walks was awarded appropriate style points before the group soared up and took apart the leukodaemons acting as inefficient guards. Forging their way inside, they were confronted with a monstrous fish-like daemon with a lot of tentacles which tried, and failed, to halt their progress.
Finally reaching the lair of the worm that walks, they found him muttering over something he was working on. A quick dimensional anchor later and he was having 'a bad day' before being torn apart and repeatedly immolated till the little worms were only nuggets of ash. Primrose produced a small vial containing more of the worms, causing Lorek to wonder out loud why she'd ever keep such a thing, but they too were quickly destroyed. It was at this point that Ben decided to ask the others for help - he had information on the location for a swamp dragon, specifically a black one, and really, really wanted the thing alive. Not having any real reasons not to help, and mainly likely because they wanted to see a dragon, the rest obliged as they returned to the material plane then traveled to the place Ben described. After some searching they did indeed find some magical darkness that sprung up in their midst, which was quickly dispelled with a daylight. Once the dragon emerged, confident in a quick victory, it became highly, and briefly, educated that it was mistaken.
With the trussed up dragon now unconscious, Ben thanked the group and everyone returned to Rook, Ben especially happy with his haul.
