Picking from the job board in the plow, a group of newly arrived adventurers pulled down a posting to hunt down a beast that had attacked a shepherd boy in the farmstead district. Reporting to the farmstead district they met Garret, the poster of the job and the father of the boy that was attacked. Checking out the lad's wounds the group came to the realization that they had no idea what they were doing. Turning back they group marched out to examine the location of the attack.
Arriving on the site, a large patch of bloody grass not far from the perimeter fence of the paddock. Poking about and gathering information, the group was able to piece together that they definitely had no idea what they were doing. Luckily the the bird on the druid's shoulder had two skill points to rub together, and with the help of speak with animal they were able to find out that there was something with clawed feet, slightly larger than a dog, and something with small booted feet that had come from the woodline to the paddock and then returned. Girding themselves the set off for the woods and after a little poking around found a game trail.
The group crept cautiously down the trail trying to keep an eye out for any sign of danger when suddenly a mighty goblin warcry went up ahead ("CHICKEN!!!" for those that spoke goblin) and a flurry of arrows mortally wounded Kyelum, but gave him enough time to circle about and land before he passed out. Goblins and Bears burst out from the tree line right on the arrow's heals. During the ensuing melee Raza fell before a mighty goblin warrior and his trusty horse chopper but not before getting an entangle off in the middle of the rest of the group.
Entangled and unable to quite reach the adventurers the Goblins sought solace in joyously hacking apart Faust's mounts and shooting down Melinda's summoned dogs but the damage on the party did continue to slowly mount. A couple of well placed color sprays turned the tide, two of the goblins managed to escape in the chaos but the rest of the band was brought low.
Victorious, the group gathered up the bears and one of the goblin courses and set out to return to the farmer and collect their reward.
