Kaiden Brandon Normand Warwick is the Curator of the new Cultural History Museum in the centre of Rooks knowledge district. He has approached the adeventurers in the hopes that they can delve into lost caves, dungeons and fortresses to retrieve long lost items to put on display. He has recently discovered that an opening into the underdark in the north leads to the ancient Armoury of Num Badir, a dwarven fortress on the front lines of the wars of old with the Duergar. The Duergar have taken control of the Armoury and Kaiden Brandon Normand Warwick has a remit from the Dwarves to take it back and bring back any important artifacts that are found.
Enter our heroes, who after clearing up any legal issues, were keen to set off into the depths. Upon reaching the Armoury, Lisa decided to scout ahead, checking the entrance hall for enemies. She found none, instead finding a large locked stone door. She attempted to crack the lock, but triggered a trap, the roof began to descend and would crush her at any moment. Luckily the party was quick on their feet and stone shaped an escape hatch for her. Once the roof had returned to its old position the party proceeded into the Armoury, finding the switch to bypass the trapped lock.
Once into the Armoury, they were beset by a Phalanx of Duergar who struck from invisibility. The shield wall was strong, but the party eventually managed to bring it down. In the next room they encountered a group of old Dwarven Constructs that had been absconded by the Duergar. The constructs were strong, but the party stronger.
Stairs lead deeper into the Armoury, where the Duergar and Constructs had set up another line of defeat, this time Leon was downed, but a swift pick up from Neigh meant he was not out. When the battle was done, the party set out into the last room before finding the armoury, a puzzle lay before them. The floor was trapped, only certain tiles could be stepped on, but a clue was on the floor which allowed the party to solve it.
Down some more stairs the party found the guardians of the inner armoury, 3 intimidating Clockwork Soldiers and a Stone Golem stood between them and the treasure they sought. The stone golem was annihilated by Zaruks arrows and a powerful charge from Neigh, but the clockwork soldiers were able to deal some damage, dropping Lisa before being shut down.
With the Duergar defeated and the constructs unpowered, the party went about collecting their treasure to take back to the museum. Weapons and constructs were transported back to Rook and Kaiden Brandon Normand Warwick was pleased to see it all.
