One player has the option of buying a Headband of Chaisma +2 for 3,200gp. This has already been factored in to the session reward, so you'll have to pay with your own gold - just post below if you want to.
In a fairly straightforward job, the various adventurers responded to a job posting by a lesser noble who was actually a self made man, earning his way in to privilege with his blacksmithing. However on a journey south to Rook he had been accosted by bandits, giants among their number, and had several of his possessions stolen including items handed down by his ancestors and thus of much higher sentimental value. Gold could be replaced and re-earned, but his grandad's smithing hammer, dad's tongs and family portable anvil were effectively priceless to him. Describing the huge, giant bandits on bloody big birds, the group realised that this was going to be an interesting chilly challenge to the north. After suitable preparation, they began to travel north to where the man had been accosted.
Though it took a while, they eventually reached the snowy regions north of Rook. It wasn't long before Zartuk spotted a bird with a figure upon it's back. Hearing that it had been a giant on a roc, they prepared even though it looked tiny. Sure enough once it spotted them it got much, much bigger once it came close. Focusing on the bird, Zartuk and friends shot the poor thing out of the sky and when the giant charged in they pretty much dismantled him. Secure in their victory, they forged ahead after a nice day of rest to come across the encampment. Sneaking ahead, Soran carefully crested a rise to spy on the encampment, seeing a host of tents, giants and human bandits. Seeing he was spotted, he quickly returned to the group to prepare. As they snuck forwards, they found the camp utterly deserted and with no tracks. Several mentioned the people had likely been illusionary as Marcus began setting tents on fire. It wasn't long however before a man showed up on a roc, throwing fireballs all over the place. Once again magic and arrows sealed his fate as the man was blasted and shot off his roc, allowing it to fly free and leave.
Looking at the maps they'd looted from the giant and the sorceror, they noticed (eventually) a discrepancy and went to check it out, finding the man's little hiding hole, bed and possessions. Amongst them they found the items the blacksmith wanted returned as well as the savings of a dedicated plunderer. With this lightening their spirits they returned to Rook to get paid and return the equipment, gaining the thanks of a pretty damn good blacksmith.
