Player Loot:
Marcus Aur: 2700gp.
Soran Ebonhand: 2700gp.
Dryth: 2700gp.
Felix Hadfield: 2700gp.
Dryth, having a slight reputation for his jewel crafting and gem cutting skills, was approached by an aasimar from Cloud City who wanted to hire him and some competent friends to help him. A client who had paid for a bunch of terracotta warriors had disappeared for the last couple of weeks and he was concerned in part due to the missing pay and due to the man simply being missing! Collecting some friends he'd been adventuring with recently, the group went to the man's store and store a veritable cornucopia of constructs lined up and partially constructed. Getting a few more details, the missing person was a big of a fan of narcotics, and lived in one of the seedier placed in Cloud City. With enough information, the group headed over to the drughound's 'mansion'. After scouting out around the building, they tried the front door and it was indeed unlocked. Going inside, Marcus began searching room by room as everyone followed. Dryth mentioned to everyone that he was sure the large statue in the entrance hall had moved. After shooting it and seeing no reaction, the group continued.
It wasn't till they were searching in the library, of sorts, that the giant 'statue' came through the wall - it was an elemental! With the small statue in the room also lurching forwards, battle was joined! Felix was clubbed painfully and spent a good chunk of the fight clinging to a bookcase crying, images of death and his life (mostly death) flashing before his eyes as he didn't want to die yet again. Thankfully Dryth's scorching magic blew the elementals apart, ending the threat quickly. Going back to the main room they found the missing man in question suspended over his wine cellar, clearly in a coma-like state from drugs. Waking him with healing magic, they saw he was generally confused. With a corpse due to overdose found in his house, Felix marched him outside to get him to pay. On the way back, Felix, annoyed by the man's disregard for overdosers, took his pendant and ordered the terracotta warriors inside the house as the man got some guards, bemused why Felix was angry. Relenting under the view of the guards and with his allies attempting to convince him, Felix relinquished the pendant, angry that the man knew his wares had caused a rival's daughter to die. Going to said rival, Felix was confronted by a man confused as to why a dead daughter was a problem, since he was going to ress her later. Felix, bemused by the culture of Cloud City and their apparent lack of regard for narcotics, returned to Rook with his payment, vowing not to return to such a messed up city...
