Everyone is allowed to ask 7 questions on their branch of immortality/transformation research. Full questions and answers, though asking an open question will take as many answers to complete as I see fit. If you ask about 2 things in one question, that's 2 answers for it as a response. As there are 7 answers in total, if you're too vague they'll run out before everything is answered, so choose carefully!
With several of the more prominent researchers and adventurers in Rook having learned of the Archivums in the north, they gathered once again in Lorek's study to plan out a visit. From their combined knowledge it was significantly far to the north, buried under a couple of miles of ice, glaciers having encroached in the long time the archivums had been abandoned. Naya related how they had been old buildings when the race of elves was young, kindling more interest, as the race that had been prevalent at the time was apparently the Sarruhk. A lot of planning discussion ensued, resulting in a day wait then Lorek and Primrose teleporting everyone as far north as they could from a vantage point high up in the sky. After the first 'port, the snowy lands they were aiming for were visible in the horizon - a subsequent port allowed the group to set up camp. Naya scouted around till she found the right location she was sure was above the Library, and Lorek made his usual temporary house and planar bound an ice elemental within. Requesting it to burrow till it reached the library, Lorek said it could depart after they teleported to it.
As such is started going down and Lorek immediately began to scry upon it. Once that worked an hour later Lorek saw a large underground cavern, so teleported everyone down. Upon seeing them, the elemental left Lorek's service whilst everyone realised they were probably 3 times further underground than they wanted, there was no sign of the Archivums and it was remarkably peaceful this far down. A few hours of wandering resulted in the group finding the foundations of the building, so another couple of hours allowed them to trek up sufficiently far enough to be beside the building, not below it. After more debate, Rainen dismension door'ed himself, Naya and ben inside, only to find out that it was a dead magic area. Inside looked like a crossroads lined with books, and whenever anyone took a step the books reformed around them and the others were utterly lost from view. Lorek and Primrose, deciding not to go in as Rainen hadn't returned, made contact via sending from the outside and Naya related the properties of the place and how nice it was.
Eventually the trio inside made their way to the main hall, noting that the books covered an immense variety of topics and in fact could narrate and read themselves to those who asked in a language that seemed almost universal. Eventually, after being convined it was safe enough, Lorek screyed and teleported himself and Primrose inside to the others and they proceeded to investigate the books. Naya, going to the side, converted with the golen eyed man who had effectively been haunting her, gaining several answers on her quest to better herself, though they did make the whole endeavor somewhat harder. Once everyone had read a lot and grabbed some relevant books, they all took the one visible door which evidently led to where they considered their 'home', regardless of where that may be. It seemed like they were amassing quite a bit of reading material...
