Journal
On an early morning in the golden plow a group of adventurers is well, getting breakfast, or just looking disgusted at it, as a man named Utar comes walking inside. He tells them he needs some help cleaning up vermin from his building site. The adventurers looks a bit suprised as he mentions he want to pay for their help.
Eventually on the site, Utar explains them it is a labyrinth, and tells them about the traps he set up inside. He told them to ask the workers about the placement if they were curious. As soon as they got in, they already had to choose to go left or right. They chose left first, and not much later an arrow came flying towards Gallade as she set off a trap. Luckily she avoided it and the first room they found had a worker, who apparantly didnt got bothered by rats, though he was able to tell that his colleagues were.
Later they came along some rats, which weren’t much of a threat, so they cleared them easily, but in the main-time, Nelg, who was not yet out of the first room, noticed something odd in the center of the room, and as he stepped into that center, he immediatly teleported away to some place with more rats. Not much later, the rest of the party also stepped through some teleportation traps, and eventually they seemed to be lost, while a couple more packs of rats got attracted towards them instead of nibbling on the walls. Lanward and Themos tried to ask the workers a bit more about the teleportation traps but sadly they didn’t know too much about them other than they teleport and seem to go at random.
The labyrinth turned out to be quite the thing to explore, as they mostly got lost due to the teleportation traps, a couple got bit by the filthy rats and probably should take a quick visit to a doctor. Eventually Teros decided to tear down a piece of wall due to frustration of being lost, when Lanward’s monster happened to find the last room, where the monster stumbled upon a horde of goblins and a single drow, who looked like a cleric. It started channeling negative energy which took down three innocent workers, most of his own goblins and knocked Nelg unconcious, while even Teros was able to feel it.
Themos and Lanward starting finding their way together, and eventually Shay joined up while Teros and Gallade teared through a piece of wall and found their way that way. The drow was not taken down much later due to a single bleeding hit from the monster. They searched his body, and found amongst his gear a note, written in undercommon and an amulet, with a symbol they couldn’t quite recognize. Not familiar with either they decided to leave upon which Utar timely came riding in front of the labyrinth, and they let him know quite well he was a fool for building this labyrinth like this. The initial though however that Utar was more crazy than they thought happened to go away once Utar had taken the note to a translator and stumbled upon a couple of them that evening in the plow, as he explained what was going on. The family name itself seemed to be from a clerical drow family here in Rook and Utar will need more help for that as he asked them so.
