Player Loot:
Naya Sharpe: 3700gp
Lorek Ra'dari: 3700gp
Faelyn Lenci: 3700gp
Ben Weese: 3700gp
Baldur Oberon: 1850gp
Fitted up and ready to go, the group went back to Orashar to continue the hunt for the remaining two Psionidari on the run. After scrying, Lorek found the abacus gave no result at all, as if the recipient was shielded. As he went to scry on the second, Naya and Ben went to the library to see what they could find out. Asking around and checking with the new head in charge lent them the info that the previous illithid calling the shots was likely still hiding underneath the library where books were stored and transcribed. Returning to the group, they found that Zanos had more luck with the second - a martially trained illithid polishing armour in a house. Deciding the caster was a higher priority the group made their way under the library, defeating nefarious traps and a complete lack of enemies. There was minor property damage by Drakmir the crocodile, but it was eventually repaired by Lorek in response to Naya being somewhat upset by the sheer wastefulness of it. The breakages did however reveal a plane shift that led to somewhere that could be unfortunate, so everyone elected to leave and go after the other target. Baldur and Drakmir, hearing the call of the wild, left after their wanton property damage, the rascals.
Tracking down the other target led the group to a nice looking house where they spied a trio of intellect devourers inside. These didn't appreciate people standing just outside the windows, so leapt to attack and naturally were spanked down reasonably hard, especially by Faelyn and Naya who utterly sliced the poor little things apart. Going inside the house and examining the trap door revealed Faurchar - the rather buff illithid who was wearing a mere toga. Immediately surrendering, he answered questions quite happily and truthfully, eventually asking for asylum as returning to the collective mind was not a welcome prospect. As Naya and Lorek debated their job and the threat the entity posed, Ben gave him an extract of invisibility and the pair ran to the portal and to Commander Bergstein. With the guards Lorek had called turning up to find just Naya and Lorek, with no fugitive, Naya rather convincingly explained that Ben had likely been not of his own mind, and that the fugitive would be found. Returning to Rook themselves, the pair and Faelyn hurriedly went to Bergstein to find he'd armed and armoured Faurchar, considering him under political asylum until Orashar found out and asked for him back. Assuring them that the illithid was under a geas to play nice, the Commander was fairly pleased as the prospect of learning a hell of a lot of state secrets from a perfectly willing and happy to discuss political fugitive. Given free reign to talk to the cooperative entity, Faelyn and Naya prepared themselves to ask a lot of questions....
