Laboratory Lanward

"Yes, yes, these axe beaks will do perfectly for a new monster."  Lanward says as he examines the two bodies in front of him.  "I will have to thank Neigh for transporting them here next time I have a chance."

Taking out a scroll Lanward began to make some notes. "Two mature Struthio Axistorres species." He mutters as he writes.  "Plumage is a light gray consistent with others of their species.  Both appear to be male though conformation is still needed.  Measurements take previously show subject one weights 482 lbs. and is 8 feet 10 inches tall putting it just below the average size of a member of its species.  Subject two is a little bigger weighing in a 501 lbs. and 9 feet and 2 inches tall.  The legs of the subject seem to be feather less and covered in hard scaly skin. Lets are quite muscular and seem able to carry the birds great weight with ease. Each leg is ends in three four inch talons. The talons while being quite sharp are to the birds main tool for attacking. The beak of the birds are uniquely shaped giving the appears of the head of an axe when its mouth is closed.  The beak seems to be made of a keratin though there are some slight difference compared to a avain's normal beak material.  These differences allow the beak to be tough enough to penetrate iron with not ill effect to the beak itself."

Done with his preliminary notes, Lanward set down the scroll and moved over to a cabinet.  Opening the cabinet Lanward pulled out a white smoke, two gloves, a hair net, and a face mask.  He also pulls out a scroll.  Opening the scroll he chanted the needed words to activate the Scroll of Unseen Servant.  Turing away form the cabinet Lanward orders the newly created magical effect, "Please copy all information that I verbalize." 

 He then makes his way over to the small of the two birds.  Taking out a scalpel from the table, he states "We will now being the internal examination of subject one." Bring the scalpel down, Lanward makes his first cut into the large avian.
