Character Name: Azziel Wolfpaw
www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=1015593
Background Information:
Having been abandoned in Rook at an early age, Azziel was taken in by the local orphanage. Unhappiness plagued her life, as routine beating and scolding from the human attendants and overseers led her to begin the life of trying to escape from authority. As the years moved by, and orphans came and went, usually by either being adopted or throwing their lot in with the city guard or military, she remained. She grew older at a slower rate than the other races in the orphanage, and thus learned more and more than the others could possibly of had. One day, when the cleric had fallen asleep while drunk in the chapel, she padded up to him silently and lifted the front key to the gates, along with his coin purse. As quickly and as silently as she dared, she rushed out of the orphanage and left by the front gate, leaving the key in the lock and running to her freedom.
Sadly...it was not true freedom, as she quickly realized, she was in the slums, and without the proper means or abilities, she could not even leave the city. Frustrated, she lurked in the slums, surviving off of thievery for a few months before she got caught by a local gang. She was press ganged into the group, and forced to work for them, in exchange for their protection. She had survived working at the orphanage for years...she figured she could outlast these as well. So she learned from them, becoming one of the best pick pockets of the gang, and bringing wealth and riches to them, quickly making them one of the richest in the area.
Soon, she was getting contracts from shady members, and was getting bigger cuts from her heists, until finally she was approached by a member of the local thieves guild, and offered an invitation. She accepted the invitation and the gang reluctantly let her go, knowing it was best not to anger the guild. Now, she works as a freelancer, stealing from those who she is paid to steal from, and those she steals from for fun and to maintain her living standards.
