Following her directions, Drakovan lays down on the appointed bed chair. After hearing Esré's explanation for the sound, Drakovan responds quietly. "The ambiance is simply sublime, I love the sound of rain and storm. T'was a comfort unperceived in the abyss. I must say my knowledge of the tattooing process is vague at best, I wasn't aware that you could simply paint them on before applying the needle. The one I wear currently was taken from another through the use of magic as a form of compensation." On saying this, Drakovan uses magic to remove his left glove, revealing a tattoo of a ring. His expression then shifts drastically, as he lets out a rushed, almost panicked few words, "I can't believe how foolish I am, Lady Esré, take extra caution to not make contact with my blood as it will steal the warmth of life from you. Simply warding against the cold will protect you from its chill, but I would regret it eternally if you of all people should come to harm as a result of my curse." Esré pauses briefly with concern at Drakovan's sudden change in manner, but relaxes, smiling gently at the end of his explanation. "Still yourself my friend.. I have a certain affinity for the cold, myself. I find it's embrace calming and serene, although in the past it has caused me some health problems.. But if you're still concerned perhaps I can send for a an alchemist's salve for my skin. It's of little issue, worry not."Esré quickly writes a small note using a small piece of parchment on the table by the window and opens a glass pane, picking a small piece of brass from hook and blowing over the top of it. It produces a low, gentle resonance not unlike that of a horn and after a few moments a very large looking bat flutters down from above. Esré attaches the note to a loose harness around his body then gives him a message quietly.. Perhaps Drakovan would be able to make out a name in the instruction; "Caisys". The bat flaps off, seemingly with purpose. When Esré returns to Drakovan she immediately picks up a long ink brush from the tray beside her. She gently dips the thin bristles into one of the pots and taps the edge, allowing the excess liquid to drip down.. It's simply water. Next she dips the wet brush into the other shallow pot and upon taking it out it can be seen that there is a dark powder covering the bristles. She rolls the edge of the brush around a little ceramic dish to combine the materials and create a thick liquid, a consistency not unlike blood or wine. "Painting onto the skin.. yes. I *could* tattoo directly without lines but I usually find that painting the design first works in everyone's interests.." Esré laughs softly. "Now.. relax yourself. I will begin."She places her hand on Drakovan's back and traces the scarred tissue, planning her course with a furrowed brow. Once she begins to paint she works in long winding strokes, a large thornless rose emerging from the dark lines. She works swiftly and before long the design is nearing completion. The scars yield around the ink lines, the design molding and shaping them rather than fighting against them.

Saul unrolls one of the papers and looks at it briefly.
"Eh, It's a pretty simple design, so tomorrow should be fine. Only one of these papers is the tattoo design, by the way. I've just been working on several things lately."

Having nothing more to say at the moment, Drakovan relaxes himself into the table, allowing himself to enter a minor trance as he focuses on the gentle feel of the brush and the soothing sound of the ambiance. As the moments go by, a rustling can be heard coming from the folds of Drakovan's robes, and a tiny scorpion wearing a silver circlet claws its way out into the open. "Hey boss, figured I'd remind you, but we gotta get back to the school." The scorpion then turns to Esré, motioning to the in progress tattoo with a claw. "Sorry to rush you m'lady, but as much as he pretends to not be, the boss is a rather busy person. Told me we'd only be here a little while to set up an appointment. Thinkin' I might have to head back on my own to deal with the paperwork at this rate.

The consuming process is done now, not to worry. I shall have your boss back to work in short order as possible, but this part should not be rushed." Esré takes the bone tools from the box mentioned previously at gets to work on the design on Drakovan's back. She holds down the skin with one hand, using it to guide the bone needles as she prods the tool into his back repeatedly. (The process is not unlike this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pzkRkENmXE) She produces a little blood now and again, but seems mostly undeterred by the cold that Drakovan warned her about. After a decent while Esré stands back and admires her work. "There.. I think you're done Drakovan. How was it? You seemed to take it very well." She brushes over the skin with a thick substance that cools and soothes then gets a wide mirror from the wall, showing the design on his back. When he's had a look Esré gently dresses the image and helps Drakovan up with his robe. "I'm gladdened to know you're happy with the work my friend. Please, yes, join me again soon."Esré walks with Drakovan out of the back room.

A black haired mundane dressed female gnome enters the parlor carrying a relatively heavy, to her anyway, bag full of coins with the top of a mask behind it with a small glowing ghostly hand following her. "Hello?" She says in a soft voice. "I hear you could attach magic to one's skin. I think this should cover it." As the ten and a half pound bag is dropped onto the floor.

A day later, Saul returns to the shop, papers in hand. He approaches the counter. "I'm 'ere for my appointment. Is Esré ready for me now, or...?"
As Saul walks into the parlor, walking straight to the front desk, it seems he doesn't see Esré sitting on the two-seater in the enclave behind him. She gets up slowly as the receptionist holds Saul's gaze and jabs a knuckle playfully into his back. "Hello Saul" She smiles warmly. "Yes, I'm ready. Shall we go through to the back?"
She doesn't wait for a response and walks slowly towards the thick velvet drapes covering the archway into the back of the store, opening the first door on the right with a little strain due to the weight. Through the drapes you can see a long hallway. There are a few other doors on either side of the polished rock floor, which leads up into the stonework walls. In the middle of the room Esré opened is a large leather chair.. It has hinges and joints which make it look almost more like a machine than a chair.. But currently it's set to the position of a kind of love seat, with a back and an arm to rest in while it's mostly horizontal. The legs are made of a dark wood with purple precious stone inlay. To the left of the room the wall is aligned with windows all down to the end.. Tall windows with translucent white drapes which float on the slight breeze coming through. As the two speak when walking in Esré makes her way to a set of chairs nearby a window. She motions for Saul to sit on the chair opposite, making space on the table between them both.

The remaining drawing appears to be a swirling eye with the words, 'Cyclone's Eye,' written below it. "This. I'd like to 'ave this across my chest."

Turin walks into Ritual, taken aback at its luxurious interior mused, “Wow. Didn’t realize Esré enjoys such fine living.” He gently ran his hand over the leather armrest, marveling at its softness. As he approached the receptionist, he reached out to Esré through Belanor.
“Esré, I’ve heard your business is booming, and I wanted to see it myself.”
To the receptionist, Turin simply smiled and declared, “I am here to see Esré.”

It's fantastic work. I knew you were a sailor.. but this is what you do now?" Esré puts her hands on either side of the scrolled paper, pushing it open gently to get a better look. Her eyes linger for a while, contemplating something.. She comes to her senses soon enough. "I'm sorry, please continue. Ah yes, the tattoo design you wish for?"Esré once again opens the paper, looking over the design and noting in passing the familiar spiral shape. "Cyclone's Eye.. What is Cyclone's Eye, my friend?" Esré peers at Saul with an inquisitive smile.

Considering you haven't stated what kind of 'magic' you want on your skin I'm not sure if that will or will not cover it, actually..." She sighs a little and walks around from behind the desk. "What is it our artist can help you with, Miss...?" She waits for a reply, looking for the young woman's name. Her expression is cool but not unkind.

“Esré, I’ve heard your business is booming, and I wanted to see it myself.” To the receptionist, Turin simply smiled and declared, “I am here to see Esré.” As Turin approached the store Esré would have felt a strange anticipation, not really knowing what was about to happen but it was not unpleasant. After a short while, hearing him reach out to her through her gauntlet, Suider, was a welcome greeting and she enthusiastically projected positivity back through the open channel between them. "Turin, good of you to come. I'll be right there!"
As the receptionist looks up ready to reply to Turin Esré walks briskly through the drapes around the corner of the room and exclaims "Turin! What a joy it is to see you." She glides over and puts her hands on one of his, one on top and one below. The gauntlets zing a little with the contact, a vague pull bonding them together. The receptionist rolls her eyes, a hint of a smile on her lips. "Are you here for a tattoo? Why don't you come through the back and we'll have a chat?" Esré leads Turin through the drapes and a heavy door, straining a little while pulling it. As she walks into the room there is a faint click of her heels on the stone. It echos through the room dully. The sound bounces only a little as it's soaked up by the plush rugs and fabrics draped here and there. Esré gestures for Turin to take a seat by the window where there is a pair of comfortable looking tall-backed chairs facing towards a window with a little table between them. Across the table is a mess of papers and a couple of sticks of charcoal. She sits down with a happy sigh and leans back into the comfort of the tall furnishings. "So, are you just visiting or are you interested in some body art yourself?"

I've already got a few rowboats built, and once my new storefront and docks are finished with their construction, I'm 'oping I'll be getting some larger projects."When Esré asks what Cyclone's Eye means, Saul responds, "Well, Captain Wolfgang McGregor, my Da, is the owner of a fine warship called, 'The Maelstrom.' When I started working on the schematics to one day construct my own warship, I needed a name. I thought that the name, 'Cyclone' would be a nice way to pay respect to his ship." Saul points at his missing eye. "I thought a little further, and realized I 'ad an opportunity for some cleverness in the title. And so I came up with 'The Cyclone's Eye.'"With that, Saul leans forward and pulls his shirt off. As he does so, a few tattoos that he already had become known. Across the top of his back, in large lettering, is the word, 'SALTY.' On the back of his right arm, between two musical notes, is written, '♪Blows & Unkind Words♪' On the upper left side of his chest, crossing up and over his shoulder, is a set of scars that appear to be left from a large claw. They have not fully healed, but they appear to have been there long enough that he was likely a child when they were left.

"The kind of magic I want is the kind that can convert the positive and negative energies from cure and inflict spells to have the same result of mending wounds, among other things. Replicating the effects of what is known as a Pallid Crystal. I understand that this should cost around 5280 gold pieces? Well this is 528 platinum right here. Very rarely do I carry around so much at once." She says excitedly.
"If possible, I would like the design to be like this." and she shows the Dia de los muertos esque mask to the receptionist. "If you need a name you can put the Necril equivalent for "joy" in your book."

Despite her moment of seriousness she starts laughing gently at the cleverness of the name when she makes the connection with Saul's eye.. or lack thereof. She blushes a dusty pink color as Saul removes his clothing unexpectedly, but attempts to remain professional. Once she eyes the previous tattoos he has she takes on a curious fervor, getting up and walking over to get a better look. "Ah.. These look like they're good work. Professionally done?" She speaks to herself quietly.. "Yes.. good work, great lines.."Esré stands back and looks over Saul's shoulder at the paper with his drawing on it again. It's managed to bunch itself up again so she places a little stone weight on either side to hold it open. She's standing in front of him now and looks at his chest, then back to the paper. "So.. you want this on the middle of your chest.. here?" Esré places her hand, open fingered in a circle on the middle of Saul's upper chest. She moves her head side to side, trying to place the tattoo in her mind. Waiting for Saul's reply she lifts a black piece of something off of the table.. It looks like a stick of some sort of chalk or charcoal.

"Yes, I'm certain Esré can take care of that for you.. On your face? That would most likely take a few days of sessions, but it can certainly be done... Miss." The woman takes specific note that you failed to give your real name and has become somewhat suspicious, especially when you're asking for necromantic magics and using Necril as a language. She strains to pick up the currency and puts it behind the desk. You don't see what she's doing but you hear the little squeak of a hinge and a click of a lock. "Please take a seat here. I'll tell Esré that you've arrived." She says coldly..then leaves the room, watching you through the side of her eye. If you choose to take a seat behind you there is a long, thick leather chair behind you in a small enclave. On the walls all around you are small pictures and etchings in the stone walls, the window behind your head is stained glass with swirls of green-blue and purple distorting the color of the light. After some time she returns and stands in the archway, ushering you to come along. You don't have to walk far before you're in the open doorway of a long room (the same that everyone comes to!) You see Esré sitting at the back of the room behind a table. She's working some strange looking materials.. "Hello there.. Please come forward, Joy." Esré speaks in a cool manner, to someone who is adept at sensing motive it would seem she is being cautious. When you step towards her you see seemingly random small plants, precious stones and pigments laying in individual containers. Currently she is sitting with a smooth pestle type tool, pushing against a stone plate.. grinding down what looks to be some sort of sea shell. The shell when ground seems to produce a lilac colored powder. She continues to work and talks without looking up. "So, you're looking for a pallid crystal tattoo? That's an interesting piece of body art you would like. And on your face.. Almost like a mask." She looks up at you now. She has a glint in her eye, watching you.

"Yes. It IS based on one. Is that a problem?" She says curiously. "I know how pallid crystals ordinarily work, but since the physical properties of the one I am requesting are much different, can you please make the main color white and the highlight color black, and, yes, I am very much among the living." She sighs. "Everyone always gives me that look, like I'm going to attack them or something."

A pale skinned, blue haired human appears in the middle of the reception area. His robes billow in a false wind as he approaches the receptionist. "Hello, I'm here for a request that is a bit of an unusual design." As he says this, he pulls out a sheet of paper which shows how to create a hand of glory. Handing the paper to the receptionist, he continues, "I would like the properties of this item transferred into that of a tattoo. I'd imagine it to be quite the time consuming task, so I'll unfortunately have to have the tattoo crafted onto an assistant of mine."
