Nestled near the Starstone Manor is a small shop connected to a few workrooms. Despite the look, bubbles can be seen coming from some equipment in the small window and several stacks of wood lay nearby. A carved sign states simply Welcome, Traveler! At the coattails of his second-to-last adventure Sirius had been asked to craft a longbow capable of utilizing its user's strength to better ends. He carefully selected from among the finest wood he had available and set to work, swiftly cutting and shaping the wood with practiced hands, only occasionally murmuring a word to bring a piece of equipment to himself.
Once the bow was nearly ready he added some small decorative filigree around the edges and completed the piece with a whisper of magic, inscribing a tiny but visible letter 'S' below the handgrip and a personal circle of characters that was invisible to the eye around the 'S'. He delivered the weapon to its new owner as they began what would be an expedition underwater and would end up as one of the rowdiest nights in bar history.

Headband of Vast Intelligence, CL 8Having studied the flow and ebb of magical energy through materials extensively in the library through more than a few sleepless evenings, Sirius prepared to create his first item, a headband that would increase the power of his already-substantial mental processes. He carefully procured the materials he would need, including an array of gems and a pre-crafted gold headband (he'd have to learn how to do that..), and set to work. He imbued the gold and headband slowly and meticulously to ensure the energies were properly aligned. The work was faster than he'd expected, though it took about half an hour per gem. Finally, he whispered a last word of power to close the magical circuit and waited with bated breath. His first creation would nevertheless have to be flawless, just as he had to keep the complex thoughts of a spell held in his mind; a single crack and his work would be ruined. A soft white light emanated from the lead gem, a slightly larger blue gem, before circling around the headband slowly. He smiled as the light danced upon the delicate gold tracery and gems, the fine pathways of magic alight with the power he had placed in them. He had given the headband the ability to allow its wearer to understand the nuances of language. He had learned early on in his time at Rook that it was a hodge-podge of cultures all jumbled together, and being able to understand what was being said and by whom was a valuable commodity. With a smile he set the band upon his head and felt the rush as a slightly deeper understanding of the universe rushed over him. Turin pushed open the door of The Wand and the Forge; perhaps a bit too vigorously, as the door swung on it's hinges hitting the wall with a thud. Wincing from the noise, Turin smiled apologetically at the figure at the other end of the small homely room, "Sorry about that mate, Just a little excited! It's good to see you." Walking with eager steps, Turin approaches Sirius, "I haven't properly thanked you for this bow right here," patting the curved shaft strung to his shoulder, "I gotta say, this thing's a beaut. Anyways, I figured you're the guy to help me out, since you've already done one hell of a job. I' heard about these bracers imbued with this neat enchantment; One that'll let me see farther, shot straighter and pack a bit of a punch too. You think you can do that?" Sirius was pleased to see an old customer return, though he cringed inwardly as his door was slammed open. He'd have to attach a spring of some sort to keep it from potentially being damaged.
"A set of bracers to improve the shooter's ranged abilities? I think I know exactly what you're talking about. Such an enchantment shall cost thirty-two hundred gold pieces. I'll begin working on it today and have it ready for you tomorrow."

Turin entered the shop early the in day; well before the sun had reached it's pinnacle in the sky. In his left hand, he clutched a weathered sack filled with many gold coins that they were threatening to spill out.
"Good morning to you mate! Sorry that I arrived so early, I can always come back later, if you are not done yet. Anyways let me give you the coins now. Don't want some ruffian to snatch them away if need to wander a bit," Turin gently placed the coin purse on the counter, "Next time I see ya at the Golden Plow, the first round is on me."

As Turin watched, Sirius finished murmuring the last word of a fairly complex incantation, making a small loop with his finger. The golden falcon on the bracer flared to golden life for a moment, swooping around the bracer before settling back down, its wings aloft as it searched the ground. He took a moment to admire the fine detailing on the crimson leather before picking it up and taking it over to the counter.
"Some of my better work, Turin. I trust it will serve you well," he said, eyeing the bag for just a moment before placing the bracer gently on the counter.

"This is perfect. I couldn't imagine it any better myself," Turin marveled as he traced his finger around the golden falcon, still in awe of it's graceful flight. Sliding the crimson bracers over his arms, he noted the impeccable fit.
"These will do! Great work as always." Turin nodded his head in thanks and walked out the door, constantly glancing down admiring his newest purchase

Sirius smiled at the praise and nodded, but looked a bit troubled as Turin left. He had spent far longer than he should have crafting the item, and he knew that if he was going to make even more expensive things he'd have to be able to do it faster. He took off the pentacle he wore around his neck with a sigh, still admiring its craftsmanship in the light.
"One must always lose something to gain something.." he murmured, a thumb tracing over the silver metal. Then, with another sigh, he went over to a bookcase and pulled down one of his journals. "Looks like I'll have to form a bond with something more substantial..."

Quietly looking into the doors of the Wand and Forge, Beval sighs with relief at seeing no guardsmen inside. Comfortable, he takes a few steps through the door.
"Hello friend!" He says in a cheery, lighthearted tone. "Names' Beval." He smiles, stands on tiptoes and reaches up to shake Sirius' hand. "I seem to be in the market for a new shortsword." He says as he pulls his sword free of its sheath. "This one has carried me far, yet its seen better days." Sighing, he runs a hand along the gashes and dings. After a moment, he smiles down at it and slides it back into its sheath with a satisfying hiss.
"I need something with a bit more power, however. Even though I don't relish the idea of using it on the job, my line of work is precarious on a good day." Beval says, taking on a more grim demeanor. After a moment, he seems to collect himself once more and a smile spreads across his halfling face again. "So, back to business, how much would this cost me?"

Turin opens the door, sunlight spilling into the familiar shop illuminating the finer details of various baubles. Expecting to see Sirius, he exclaimed, "Mate, Did you hear about that wraith at temple? Can ya believe it? We managed to kill it, but still... Can't believe that wraith would be in such a holy place."
"Here's the gold you asked for. I assume the quiver is finished?"

Turin sees not Sirius, but another man, taller and without the features of the shop's previous occupant. The man finishes the last few stitches and smiles, turning around. "Ah, hello sir! The previous owner must not have informed all of his customers before he left, but I am Salinar Smith. Sirius returned to Cloud City to pursuit less... potentially fatal endeavors. I hope to do right by his kind gestures.." he says, indicating the headband and shop, along with a document Sirius had drafted and signed giving the man ownership of the shop.
"Your quiver is ready, and an interesting if not very rare piece I must say. Wait.. did you say wraith? Those things are quite nasty, glad it wasn't trouble for you.." he says, looking concerned for just a moment. "Anyhow, here ya go, and I hope it serves you well.."

"Ohh hey sir." Lisa says as she comes walking in the shop. "Would you happen to have a cloak of elvenkind for me? I have enough gold right here in my pocket." As she grabs a pouch from her belt she smiles to the new man in the shop, and grabs out 2000 gold. "Here. If I may ask, where did Sirius go?"

"A Cloak of Elvenkind? I can enchant one for you today if you'd like. As for Sirius, he decided to focus on his studies back in Cloud City. He found much more enjoyment in making things than going on adventures, but that's not a problem for me. Why choose one when you can do both, right? In any event, I'll have it done for you soon.." ((Time Passes)) "And here you go, a cloak guaranteed to make you stealthier. Just make sure you don't use it for anything bad, I'd rather not aid and abet illegal activity after all.." he says, indicating the carefully folded grey cloak. [[OOC: 2,000 gold in your pouch? That's 40 lb. of coins, or enough to about fill a box like this: www.clarkhawaii.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/hawaii-quarter.jpg I recommend platinum or precious gems, or a Bag of Holding.]]

Lisa chuckles. "No, of course not. I need it to help people better. You see, its better to get the suprise on bad guys if you want to catch them, and this ensures that. But thanks for helping me out here."
[[ooc: ohh yeah, she'd probably have a chunk of that in platinum pieces or something. A bag of holding might actually be a good Idea regardless.]]
"So ehm, talking about useful things here. You see, I need to carry all my flasks with me, acid flasks, alchemist fire, and all that kind of stuff. Would you happen to have something that would make that easier for me? "

"Ah yes, I can craft you such a thing. They are Extradimensional Containers Capable of Carrying A Large Amount of Material, or ECCOCALAMs... though I suppose a Holding Bag is easier to pronounce.. That would also cost about two-thousand gold and I can have it ready this evening.."

"Not a problem, my lady. It shall certainly be complete by then," he says, smiling as she departs. He sets to work, laying the framework for the extradimensional space that the bag will contain before quickly selecting and crafting a proper bag. The dimensional matrix could be tricky, and he spent a few moments consulting his diagram as Hemi, his scorpion familiar, fetched various ingredients from the cupboards.
With a sigh he closed his eyes, murmuring to himself as he applied the matrix to the physical material. With a final mental tug, the magic settled, and the now-familiar blue glow traced itself about the bag, a sure sign that the item had been properly constructed.

Turin walks into Wand and the Forge admiring the familiar interior, " Hey mate, sorry for rushing out on you the other day. There were a couple other matters I had to attend. We never got to have a proper introduction. I'm Turin."
Turin sticks out his hand, "Pleasure to meet you. Anyways todays visit is more than a social call. Is there anyway you could upgrade my belt to make a bit stronger? Sirius did such a good job on the original, so I thought I would give you a try."

"Not a problem, I know it can be odd to see a strange face in the shop. Pleasure to meet you, I'm Salinar," he said, also extending his hand and giving the man an attempt at a firm shake, though his lack of strength was surely present in his grasp.
"Let me see... a belt that increases the owner's swiftness of actions, and you'd like it to also increase your physical strength? Shouldn't be a problem.." he says, taking a moment to take a tome down from the wall and flip through its pages. "The ingredients are slightly expensive, but this should take no more than two days. Come see me tomorrow and it'll be complete!" he says as his familiar, an odd looking scorpion with a greenish stinger, crawls out from behind his shoulder to peer at Turin with interest.
