Player Loot:
Sabien Raith: 2700gp
Lorek Ra'dari: 2700gp
Solomon Nox: 2700gp, cursed (reversed) Ring of Protection +1
Primrose: 2700gp
After getting reports from a rather worried Commander Bergstein concerning what were clearly shadows in a nearby rich dead man's crypt, theGhostbusters adventurers headed off, carts, corpses, positive energy and oils of blessed weapon in tow. As they approached the building, Primrose and Lorek noticed the mausoleum's shadow was in fact slightly strange, but a pair of bursts of radience utterly wrecked whatever was lying in wait regardless, and the party simply walked up without any real concern. At the entrance downwards was a pair of stranger shadows, almost looking like insubstantial plague doctors - these were more inclined to talk, explaining how they had 'employed' those workers who had transgressed upon the property. Disagreeing, Solomon started talking about legal clauses and rights, causing one of them to single him out as a worthy target to 'employ'.
Suffice to say, massed magic weapons tend to make short work of incorporeal undead regardless of the somewhat lesser damage. With the way cleared, the party went down in to the main crypt, to be confronted with a rather large room full of nice statues and pillars, and shifting shadowy light levels everywhere. Even so, they hit the pillars and heard a lovely ringing bell sound, and the pillars seemed to be swathed in illusion. Clearly then, this meant all 6 had to be hit at once, resulting in the pillars breaking and plague-green clouds billowing out and making Sabien feel somewhat sicker. It was at that point that a lot of shadows appeared from the... shadows, and a bigger plague doctor emerged from the main sarcophagus. This however meant nothing, as Sabien was a cleric facing undead, and everyone else had silly numbers of blessed weapons.
Victorious, the party proceeding to carry out and steal every statue with the intent to resell, and looted the main body's corpse, finding a lovely cursed, and thus reversed, ring of protection upon it. Since it didn't seem to do anything when worn by a corpse, Solomon's driver James put it on as a method of transport. Returning to the Commander, their tale of heroics and shadowy extermination calmed him a great deal, as Lorek had previous described what they could do. As such everyone was paid, and a good time had by all.
