--------------
After their second encounter with the wilds of the Homestead's forested area. Roald and some of Jameson's men put together a reagent to counter act the effects taking over the lake. The adventurers wandered into the forest to help tidy up the excess plant life and down to the lake to apply the barrel of fix-it juice. On their way to drop the barrel in the water, Darven spotted a large plant creature forming out of the plant. They dispatched quickly enough and soon Roald was near the water edge, with an fungus nearly on top of him. With some quick thinking and reactions they created a few pits to section off the creature what seemed to react just as fast as they were dropping them. Kaitos backed Roald up with a second pit to help position the monster away as Fengari administrated the barrel to the lake. The ooze soaked most of their attacks, but was dispatched by a few well placed bombs from Kaitos with Sideous, Lanward, Fengari, and Luis position the monster into a static position.
As they quickly dispatched the creature the group stood around and waited for the reaction within the lake to take place. It took some time but the task was completed. Being only an hour ride from the Homestead the party met up with Susan, the engineer and local forewoman of the land. She apparently was an aspiring alchemist and was mixing potions with small degrees of error. Dumping her failed experiments into their make shift 'well'. Little did she know that the walls of the well were cracked and leaking into the ground and mixing with other things. She halted all her tests and even learned a few things from the party.
