Today began with a letter pointing a group of adventurers towards a hermit alchemist's place in the farmstead district. Once they got there, melinda immediately recognized the man as she had grown up in the area. After explaining the situation, the alchemist sent the group down, with promises of gold spurring their efforts through what they soon realized was not a small shack. K'rikka almost immediately fell through the floor, realizing that it was in fact an illusion floor, though the rest of her party was left wondering what the heck just happened. They continued moving on while K'rikka explored the floor beneath.
As the party advanced, they began to hear all sorts of noises, and they eventually came upon what looked like a forge in a smith's shop. Also at that time, k'rikka reappeared in an explosion of dust as she first emerged from, and then hid within, a dumbwaiter. A strange creature with 42 arms then jumped out at the group, and a fierce battle began. As the group continued to fight it, they noticed it healed itself by drawing out blood from its attacks. While each individual attack did little damage, since there were 42 of them it became quite the force to be reckoned with. Fortunately, through liberal application of kidney stabbings, the beast was taken down, leaving the area free for the adventurers to explore.
